when living in new england, check the weather before getting dressed and leaving for the day. if the sun in shining, that doesn't mean it's warm outside! i guess sometimes you learn the hard way...

so today i really came to grips with myself and a slight problem that i have. i'm an obsessive planner - to the point where it sometimes drives me insane. i don't know if that's because i'm a product of my mother who is also a great planner or if that's because i've learned that without a well thought out plan, you waste a lot of time. i even had my father-in-law tell me, "you don't like to go anywhere without a plan do you?" to which i said, "who does?"

for example, we're going to italy in less than two weeks and i have no idea what's going on. i don't know what time we're leaving, when we're getting there, what i need to pack, how much money to bring, where we're going on our free days, what kind of shoes to wear, what kind of food to bring, etc, etc. i feel like i can hardly enjoy the anticipation because i'm freaking out!

i've quickly learned that there are a lot of people that enjoy "flying by the seat of their pants" so to speak, but as for me - i have every detail planned and i like it like that!

i'm sorry to those that i've driven up a wall with my obsessive compulsiveness.
